Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering is an important part of the health profession preparation process whether it's healthcare-related or not. Admission committees want to know that you want to help your community, so it's recommended or required for most health professions.
In addition, it's a great way to get to know yourself and your community better. You may also discover strengths and interests you didn't know you had!
Most health professions programs accept paid healthcare experience, as well. the University Career Center has a great list of local and national options.
