Meet with Us
Ready to get started on your pre-health journey? Great! Here's how:
Academic Advising
All students at The University of Kansas are assigned an academic advisor. We encourage you to stay connected and meet regularly with your advisor to make sure you're on track and that you get answers to your questions. All advisors are well-equipped to help ensure that you are meeting admission and academic requirements for your anticipated program.
Students seeking admission to an undergraduate health program will be assigned a Pre-Health Academic Advisor.
Students seeking admission to a graduate health program will be assigned an advisor in their major field of study.
Scheduled Appointments
Schedule an appointment with your advisor through Jayhawk GPS: https://ku.campus.eab.com/
Drop-In Advising
Pre-Health drop-in advising is available virtually or in Summerfield 315 on Mondays and Thursdays from 12:30pm-4:30pm: https://kiosk.na4.qless.com/kiosk/app/home/425
Find Success Team and Resources
You can find your success team (advisors and instructors) assigned to you as well as the location and contact information for academic, campus services, community and involvement, and health and wellness resources: https://jayhawkgps.ku.edu/find-success-team-and-resources
Students are also welcome to email us with quick questions. Depending on the complexity of the question or response, you may be asked to make an appointment with your advisor or come to drop-in advising. You can email us at prehealth@ku.edu.
We encourage you to stay connected with us so we can help you be a successful student and program applicant!
Career Coaching
While you are not assigned a specific career coach, all KU students have access to career coaches who can help you throughout your time at KU and your career development. The University Career Center serves all KU students regardless of major. The Schools of Business, Engineering, and Journalism have career centers that specifically serve students admitted to those schools.
Scheduled Appointments
Virtual or in-person appointments can be made through our online scheduling system on HireJayhawks or by calling us at 785-864-3624. Leave a message if you don't reach us. We will call you back ASAP.
Students are also welcome to email us with quick questions. However, we typically find it's more effective to schedule an appointment with us. You can email us at prehealthcareers@ku.edu
